Rainbow Rolling Pins

As you may know, one of my true loves in life is food. I'm always looking for new ways to make food even more interesting.  When I was looking for Christmas presents on Etsy, I found RainBow Rolling pins.
This is great for making pies with sugar crusts, and sugar cookies.  I tried making indents in a peanut butter cookie for my brother and it left during the baking process.  The reason why I love this is it is extremely easy to use.  The one thing is just remember to clean it right after.  I let it sit for a little and just wish I ran a little water under it.

This is the perfect gift for a stylist baker.  The reason being is this rolling pin can become their personal stamp.  I loved the rose and skull pattern, but you can also get customized ones.

Nature Works Candles

These candles are one of the best things to give someone when you need a small gift.  Even though it was a joke on that 70’s Show that Eric should get Donna a candle.  One thing I really like is each of these candles has a wish bracelet attached to it.  A wish bracelet is a piece of embroidery thread with a charm on it.  Through the packaging you can see how much this company cares about its customers.  Their products smell great, but also look adorable.

Comfort

If a sweet mint isn't your favorite scent, you need/should/life wouldn't be the same if you didn't try this candle.  Yes I loved the peppermint one, but this candle was like something I've never smelt before.  The scent is rich and warming.  Comfort was definitely the the best name for this candle.

Aromatherapy Mist

This is perfect when you want to add a little more scent to your house during Christmas.  The best thing about this spray is it is not overpowering and smells natural.

How to Look Adorable All Day

It's sad to say I've reached the point in my life where I'm too old to look cute with bedhead and mixed matched Pj's on Christmas morning.  Here's a few tips on how to look adorable all day.

9am- Presents
Now you actually sleep on Christmas Eve because you've given up on seeing Santa and feeding his reindeer. If your family’s like mine, the first thing you do Christmas morning is open up presents.  With opening presents, comes pictures.  And those pictures usually end up on Facebook.  So if you don't want your crush in your 9:30 to see your no makeup bedhead, here's how to easily look adorbs.
Sweater; American Eagle

For early mornings, dry shampoo is your best friend.  Brush your hair, and spray some batiste dry shampoo in your hair.  For your outfit change out of your soccer shorts from 2nd grade, throw on some leggings and an oversized sweater.  If dry shampoo can't fix your bedhead, throw on a cute knit hat.

11am- Brunch
Nothing says the holidays like hollandaise sauce.  Because this is just you and your family there is no need to go all gossip girl.  Keep the bow headband for later.  By this time, shower and put a little argan oil into your hair.
Sweater:Lulus
Leggings: Hot Chillys
Boots:Top Shop
Usually a few close friends come over for brunch, so pj's are no longer an option.  Throw on a tank top, with a cute cardigan.  Leggings and knee thigh boots are perfect.

5pm- Mini family Reunion

You drove a few hours and now are bingeing on the dank Christmas cookies your aunt made.  Because I believe that you should always be comfy over fashionable when traveling, skip the fancy dress.  Wear a cotton skater dress with some leggings under it.
Dress:Nordstrom

Ribbon Personalized Review

When I opened up this package, I don't think I've ever been more happy about what I got in the mail. I love writing for this blog, and I like to express it a little. And I thought candles that had my logo on them and name of my blog were perfect.
Not only did the candles look great, but also the presentation was amazing. The candles all had little black ribbons that said my URL. Everything about these candles are perfect and I completely became obsessed immediately.
Getting people Christmas presents are sometimes extremely challenging. Yes that sweater is cute in your opinion, but you also have to worry about if they will like it and if the size will be right.
These candles are great gifts to get someone because you can get anything printed on them.  I love these because I will always have the memory of having this blog even when I'm an actual adult and have real responsibilities like paying rent and taxes.
These candles are something that your loved ones will remember forever.

A Hitchcock Spin on Wildess Dreams

Probably about six months ago I saw Taylor Swift’s music video Wildest Dreams and thought of a completely different idea that would of been way better than the one published.
When I first started watching the video, the first thing that came to my mind was Hitchcock.  For anyone that knows anything about Hitchcock, he loved blondes.  Since I was in high school I've been a little obsessed with Hitchcock and all his movies.
One of Hitchcock's favorite actresses was Grace Kelly.  Grace Kelly was a gorgeous actress that starred in a few of his movies.  Grace Kelly later retired from acting when she married Prince Rainier and became the princess of Monaco.
Grace was very pretty, nice and was rumored to have affairs with her leading male roles.  During the filming of Rear Window there was a rumored affair between Grace and James Stewart.  At the times Stewart was married.

Why I think this would of been a great idea for this video is because that was an iconic time in history.  Another part is I think Taylor Swift could've been a great Grace Kelly.  The thing is Taylor goes through all these painful breakups, but you don't see it in her videos or her face.

You can't be a good artist if you have not gone through some rough painful times.  In my opinion, Taylor needs to stop being this cookie cutter perfect human being.  Because Taylor is like Grace in a way.  She comes off as nice, pretty but, there is more to a person than nice and pretty.

I think this vintage Hitchcock idea would of been a good idea for the video because Taylor could build on Grace's pain.  Even though the affair is only a rumor it was a talked about event in Hollywood and would of been a better idea for this video.

The Mindy Project; Danny Needs to STFU

One show I absolutely love is the Mindy Project. The writing and the actors are absolutely wonderful. I always leave watching an episode laughing and happy.  But the last few episodes have left me angry and sad.  The reason was because of the character Danny.

For those who are not avid Mindy watchers, the show is about doctors in Manhattan.  Mindy Kaling plays a doctor who is starting her own fertility clinic, but also just had a baby. Mindy is dating Danny who is also a doctor.
The thing is Mindy and Danny were always so adorable together because they were so different. Mindy is adorable and very millennial while Danny is very old school.  What made me so angry and sad was that Danny was pressuring Mindy to give up everything to be a mother.
Not only did Danny say that Mindy would not be a good mother, but he was also tracking her ovulation tricking her into getting pregnant. Tricking someone into having a child is not only unfair to the mother, but also the baby.  A woman has the right to choose if she wants to have a baby or not.  Yes, if you’re in a relationship it’s a mutual decision, but if the other party does not want a child you shouldn’t be pressuring them into having one.
Being 19 years old, I definitely don’t know what it’s like to choose my career over my kid, but I also don’t think it has to be a choice.  In my opinion, staying home full time or working full time does not make you any different of a mother.  Being a good mother is about loving your child and making sure they are given everything they need in life.  Giving up something of yourself, that you love, will not make you a better mother.  Your child will not think less of you that you did not stay home with them.  Mindy worked her ass off to get where she is, and shouldn’t have to give that up, or be with someone who makes her feel guilty about it.

Signed and Numbered

Signed & Numbered started in the mid-90s, when Phil started his first wood shop in the garage of his house.  In his little garage he made hundreds of amazing furniture pieces, in 199 he expanded to a larger space in Salt Lake City.  At the same time, the local concert venue closed down and he offered his place for the kids to use.
What was his workshop, now became a place for bands like Rilo Kiley, Death Cab Cutie, and The Shins.  Phil then met Leia and they built a studio next to his and started their life.  After they sold the music venue, they opened Signed & Numbered which was a poster shop and gallery.  Their business was going well, but people kept asking about posters for their poster.  Framing then became the focus of their business.
Why I'm featuring Signed and Numbered on my blog is because they have a very interesting story and also their products are very well made.  There's so many times I spend way too much on something that lasts a few years.  Also their products are priced that as a college student, I needed a place to buy what I needed for my apartment without spending too much money.

Wall Mounted Mail and Key Holder

When you move into a new place, everything is a little hectic for a while.  Especially when you're just starting your new classes and getting use to the time where you can sleep in the most and still make your 8:30.  This is a great thing to have in your apartment because when you're busy you know you're just going to throw your mail and keys on the table.

The only way you're going to organize and not loose anything is to have a place to put it.  You don't want to throw your water bill on the table and then get a late fee.  Or even worse, be scrambling to leave in the morning and be late because you can't find your keys.

I'm a little obsessed with benches with a coat rack over them.  Possibly because I know that it works better than having a coat closet.  Living in a dorm room, I've realized how bad it is to walk around with your shoes on, this offers a great place for you and your roommates to leave their shoes.  Because we all know mud season is the worst.

Open Back Wall Shelf

Like I said, this is the best way to organize your coats.  The reason being is when I'm busy and rushing to find my jacket, I never have to wonder if it's in the closet or not.  Also it promotes you to hang it up right when you walk through the door.

The other thing that is sweet is there is an overhead shelf.  When you're living in a small apartment you're paying probably way too much for, organizing is always a must.  This gives you a perfect place to put some things that you can't find another home for.

Gifts For Everyone On your List

To be completely honest, Christmas is not my favorite holiday. Yes, I love being able to see my family and eat wonderful food; in my opinion, that's what Christmas should really be about. We all know that Christmas involves gifts, and getting a gift for everyone can be challenging and stressful. Here's a list that may help you:

For Him

Whether it is your best friend since kindergarten, your boyfriend, or your brother; I've got you. Getting this gift is challenging because as a girl I always find it hard to get guys presents. Unless it's my brother where I can just send a text, "bro what do you want for Xmas" , it’s challenging doing the guess work.

The Sports Fanatic

Luckily for me, I have two brothers who could not be more obsessed with the Pats. If you walk into your guy's dorm room and it is covered in Boston Bruins gear, you can not go wrong with a cute knit hat.

The Adventurer

Living in Vermont has made me realize how beautiful the Northeast is. I love the Northeast, but it is bitter in the winter. For your guy who likes to do things in the negative degree weather, get him some Hot Chillys clothing. In my opinion, this clothing line is always warmer than the higher priced brands like Northface and Patagonia.

The Nerd

Don't get me wrong, I am proud to call myself a nerd. I will play The Sims on a megabus with no shame. You can't go wrong with getting him one of his favorite games or his favorite series on DVD. Just in case Netflix tries to take 3 seasons of their favorite show off Netflix. RIP Eureka seasons 1-3.

Under 10 Dollars

If you're like me, splurging on a present is just not an option. This may be wrong, but I've never met a guy who doesn't like beer. You can't go wrong with getting him a tumbler supporting something he loves.

DIY

Sometimes after buying all the presents for your parents, grandparents, brothers, and their significant others, you can't even spend 10 dollars on something they will love. An easy and inexpensive DIY is a mason jar filled with little papers of thought. They can either be date ideas or just things you love about that person.

For Her

The Fashion Obsessed

I would say that I'm one of the best people to give anyone advice on what to get someone who loves fashion, more than Rachel Zoe. When I was making my own Christmas list, I googled what to get a fashion obsessed girl and everything was over $1000 and if I asked for a Louis Vuitton bag for Christmas, I really doubt I'd get it.
For the fashion obsessed girl on your list, get her something she really needs and never thinks about till it's too late. Get her a sick pair of fleece leggings. I love wearing dresses and skirts in the summer and it seems like they just go to the back of my closet when it starts to get chilly.

Sporty Spice

This one may seem like a no brainier, but getting a pair of leggings on Christmas is one of the best feelings ever. Yes the ten dollar leggings at T.J.Maxx are fine; but when you're in college getting a paycheck only enough to pay for food, you don't get to experience the feeling of having nice leggings.

DIY

As a girl who has way too many things for my tiny little dorm room, I'm always looking for a place for my sweaters that does not exist. Create a sweet under bed storage system with recycled milk crates, some zip ties, and some spray paint.

Under 10 Dollars

For some reason I completely understand you can not go wrong with getting her a candle. Candles in my opinion are extremely relaxing and also they make your room smell amazing.
