Honestly, after months of wearing two pairs of pants and losing feeling in my face while I walk to class, I'm more than pumped that the sun is coming out more and sunset is happening later in the day. With every new season comes new trends; and after a little research, I have found the most fashion forward trends for next season.
1. Body Suit

Bodysuits are no longer something you relate to your third grade gymnastics meet. Honestly it solves one of the biggest problems when you wear a shirt you want to tuck into your skirt. With this trend you never have to worry about your outfit coming out of place. Bodysuits also, in my opinion, show off the body’s figure.

2. Backless

Don't let backless dresses scare you. One of the most underrated parts of the body is the back, and it's about time people start showing theirs off. One of the biggest myths is that you have to wear a bra with every outfit, but it couldn't be more opposite of the truth. If you are worried about that, many of these dresses have built in shelfs, or they also have backless bras.

3. All White

Last week, when I was watching the new show on ABC called The Catch, one of the actresses was wearing an outfit with multiple pieces, all in white, and it was absolutely amazing. The key to this trend is mixing different shades of white and ivory.

4. Denim Skirt

This season is bringing back some of the major trends and colors of the 70’s. One of the biggest being button up skirts.

I honestly hope this trend did not come from Kanye West's new line, but if it did happen to, it wouldn't be the worst thing he has done all year. This season, you're going to be seeing clothing especially jeans and oversized sweaters with more rips than normal.

6. Peach

Spring is all about pastels and this season, peach is going to be the most popular. One of the biggest problems with wearing peach is you have to make sure it doesn't wash you out; this can be challenging in the early spring months before you have a sweet summer tan.

7. Shirt Dress

This is one of my favorite things to wear when you're having a lazy spring morning. The best way to achieve this is to pick up a large shirt from your local goodwill. If your shirt tends to look a little baggy, you can always match it was a rope belt.

8. Pastel Hair

This became a trend a few years ago, when someone discovered hair chalks. The sad part is hair chalks are absolutely horrible for your hair. Unless you have thick oily hair, they will completely dry it out. Good for us, Free People now sells their own that doesn't do anything bad to your hair.

9. High Waisted

This season is going to be about high waisted everything, from jeans to maxi skirts. My favorite thing about this trend and high waisted pants is that they are no longer called "mom jeans"

There's something about a pleated maxi skirt that is absolutely perfect for any spring afternoon. The perfect way to wear a maxi skirt in spring is with a simple top, like a tank top or just a tee shirt; pairing it with a light jacket.

11. Braids

Instead of messy buns taking over this season, everyone is going to want to have their hair in braids. What I like about this style of braid is it’s not just for your field hockey game, and it kinda has a way to add a little edge to your outfits.

12. Lace up

You are going to see lace ups everywhere this season. They're a super popular swim trend this season. They are also in many of this seasons dresses, and tops. What I love about this trend is it adds a very interesting neck line to your outfit.

13. Suede Skirt

This is the same style as the jean skirt listed above, but this one is in suede. This fabric is a 70’s inspired piece, that is being brought back. What I love about this is it adds a nice base to an outfit. What I mean by that is a lot of spring outfits are about patterns and colors, but this trend is more neutral, which allows you to build off it.
