It's Saturday Night: Winter Date Ideas With Outfit Ideas

Sometimes in winder people tend to become a little sloth like and spend more time in their bed watching netflix then going outside.  Yes I agree sometimes its just not worth going outside when its in the negative or there's freezing cold hail outside.  Listed below are a couple dates that you and your someone special when its cold outside but still want to enjoy the weather.  Bring on some winter love!

1. Ice Skating

Ice Skating is A perfect date idea to enjoy the cold without being freezing.  It's a great bonding experience between you and your partner where you can grow closer and learn the challenge of balancing the holding hands.  

For your outfit you want to dress warm but not like you're going to the arctic tundra, you don't want to be uncomfortably sweating.  

2. Snowboarding and Skiing

Going on adventure dates with your partner is a great way to bond and create an activity you can do with them and get away from your normal day to day activities.  If you live close to a mountain this is great for you if not its a great idea for a weekend get away.  

Dress warm!!! And remember to check the weather report before you leave.  If its gross just go another time.  

3. Getting Hot Chocolate

This a a great idea if your date randomly gets destroyed by some bad winter weather. Also it is a great idea for a first date because you can get to know someone with not too much pressure, I don;t think that anyone ever said that chocolate was overly romantic.   

For a hot chocolate date.  Dress romantic casual.  Wear a dress that is comfy and match it with some warm nights and boots.  Always wear a belt to show off your waist.

4. Sledding

This is a great Idea for couples that get snow but are two far away from a mountain or just have a couple of hours to see each other.  Go to wall mart and pick up a five dollar sled and have fun!

Sledding is not perfect you are going to be covered in snow and freezing so dress warm.  remember your hats, gloves, scarfs, and mittens.

1. Hip

Unless you are a life guard your hip will always be covered up at work.  The only people that will know that you have a tattoo there are the ones you tell or the ones that you want to see the tattoo.

2.  Back of your Neck

This is great if you can wear your hair down at work.  The only bad thing is you will never be able to rock a pixie cut or a top knot but its only 8 hours a day that you have to cover it up.

3.  Upper Arm

Possibly the best place to get a tattoo because it is so easily covered up by a t- shirt and chances are you won't be rocking bare shoulders at work.

4. Foot

This is a great place to get a tattoo especially if you work in the health profession because it will be easily covered up with wearing socks and sneakers.

5.  Thigh

Even if you work in a job that requires you to be outside in the hot summer months chances are you wouldn't be wearing shorts so short that your whole thigh will be exposed.

Man Crush Monday: Nat Wolff

When I was about 12 years old Nat Wolff and his brother starred on a Nickelodeon show about two famous brother musicians.  I never thought that I would be writing about how I think that Nat Wolff is one of my favorite actors.  When I watched stuck in love on Netflix I believe I ended up watching it three time that weekend. Also I would like to say that if friends ever had a reunion season and needed someone to play a young Ross wouldn't Nat be perfect?

I was going to write a little bio on Nat but you can get that by just reading a little on Wiki.  Here are some interesting facts on Nat.

1. His dating deal breaker is dating someone who doesn't laugh.

Trend Alert: Ankle Boots

Rider boots have been popular for about over a year now but it seems like a shorter boot might be making a comeback.  Shorter boots with a little heal are a great way to make a classic outfit a little more sexier with out looking like you are trying to hard.

Outfit Ideas For the Week

I have to admit I have been cheating on my be different and don't wear leggings every day.  But it's cold, I'm tired, and leggings are very comfortable.  Here are some outfit ideas to hopefully let the leggings stay in the draw this week.  

Sunday

I don't know about you but where  I live is freezing which makes it hard to find a cute outfit to go out in.  This outfit is cute and also warm.  Get some thick knit tights match with a flannel dress and your outfit is instantly warmer.  (And flannel is adorable)  I would pare this with a moto jacket but not leather, I would wear a suede jacket.  Then finish the outfit off with some black ankle boots.    

 Monday

Today is the last day of your long weekend and for some of you it is the last day of your break before you start classes.  

 Tuesday

Weather you are a teenager going to school today or heading back to work today you are going to be tired,  that three day break just wasn't enough of a vacation but you can't wear sweats and call it a day.  For being comfy but still looking like you put work into your outfit I advise matching a cute sweater with some jeggings.  

 Wednesday

Many of you who just got back to school underestimated the weather (like me).  Today you will bundle up, learn all over how to layer and not forget a hat even if you think you don't need it (you will trust me).  

Thursday

Do you have late classes and don't have time to change before going out? If so this outfit it perfect .  Its not too dressed up for school and the boots are perfect for a night out.  

Friday

Skater skirts and heels should always go together flats just don't do them justice.  This outfit is perfect for a night out or just to look cute on a Friday.  

 Saturday

The cute guy in your English class asked you if you want to go to dinner in the new restaurant downtown and you're struggling to find a cute outfit to wear.  There's nothing wrong with dressing up on a first date .  For this outfit I would wear a cute dress that was not short sleeve and wear a coat that does not say north face.  

Cocktails that Will Keep you Warm this Winter

Classic Egg Nog

INGREDIENTS

2 quarts whole milk

2 2/3 cups sugar

1 vanilla bean, split, seeds scraped

16 large egg yolks

2 cups cold heavy cream

1/2 cup bourbon

1/2 cup dark rumFreshly grated nutmeg, for sprinkling

DIRECTIONS

Heat milk, sugar, and vanilla bean and seeds in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, whisking until sugar has dissolved. Whisk yolks in a large bowl. Pour hot milk mixture into yolks in a slow, steady stream, whisking.Return milk-yolk mixture to pan, and cook over medium-low heat, whisking often, until thick enough to coat the back of a spoon, about 20 minutes (do not let simmer). Pour through a fine sieve into a bowl; discard bean. Whisk in cream, bourbon, and rum. Let cool completely. Cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate until cold, about 1 hour (up to 1 day). Serve sprinkled with nutmeg.

The Blizzard Cocktail

INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 ounces Irish whiskey or rum

1/2 ounce hazelnut liqueur, such as Frangelico

1/2 ounce Irish cream liqueur, such as Bailey'sHot coffee

Dollop of Grand Marnier Whipped Cream

DIRECTIONSIn a glass coffee mug, stir together whiskey, hazelnut liqueur, and Irish cream; top with coffee. Garnish cocktail with whipped cream and serve immediately.

Don't Go to the Kardashians For Makeup Tips

I admit to not knowing much of anything about makeup.  I have no idea how to use eyeliner, when m hair dresser says not t pull through hair dye I nod and pretend to know what she's saying, and it took me two years to start using the right color of foundation.  I may not know much but I do know what looks good and can follow a youtube tutorial.  The best makeup in my opinion is what looks natural. Yes we all know that pretty much every women is wearing makeup but there's wearing makeup to enhance your looks and then there's wearing it to cover up.

Face

We are all humans and if you're not you're probably in some lab  being tested on (sorry secretly a sic fi nerd) we all have flaws.  We all have blemishes and unequal skin and black dots on are nose.  Don't try to deny it.  We are not Barbie dolls and are always perfect.  And we should be glad we are not, when a barbie is bought it is at it's prime, the condition only gets worse.  We have the time to make the improvements on ourselves.   

Show those freckles! Don't hide mother nature.  

Lips

There has been a large controversy over the new size on Kylie Jenner's larger lips.  I do not think that she got plastic surgery, yes she is a Kardashian but she is also 17 years old.  Even for them I find that a little extreme.  In the four pictures below the ones that look the best are the first two because they look more natural.  In the first one you could probably convince the cute waiter that your not wearing any makeup.  But the last one has her looking like a brats doll.  

In my opinion when picking out a shade to wear is think about where you are going and what time of day it is.  Going to an early breakfast probably a little odd to be sporting bold red lips.  Save the red lips for when it gets dark.  Use the light shades for the day. 

Eyes
For me eyes is a little hard for me to explain.  I think sometimes when someone does a drastic look wearing multiple colors that you would of never thought would look together but they look amazing.  The sometimes people do their eyes and they look like they should be in a sci fi movie playing the bride of the alien.

My Friday Night Beaty Routine

(Pixi Primer)

I first got this in a ipsy bag and never used it until this vacation.  Ipsy is great if you are someone like me and know minimal about makeup.  I don't know what primer does exactly but it makes my face look flawless as marketed.

I've been using this product sense I watched a Bethany Moda youtube video about goo foundations.  My skin tend to be more on the oily side.  Yes this makeup doesn't completely block the oil it does do a good job at concealing it.

Most bronzers add too much to the skin and make you look like you had a bad spry tan but this one makes your skin look even and adds to the affect of your face.

This is a great mascara.  There are rareley lumps and it lasts a while.  Don't forget to use a eye lash curler along with mascara.  I use my ELF curler that I bought for a dollar and it still works three years later, no need to spend a pretty penny on a curler.

The College Beauty Routine

Today I woke up for classes at 9 and when I looked to see what time it was when I was done it was 9:10.  I don't know if this is impressive or sad.  In this post I'm going to share one of my beauty routines and tomorrow I will share another one.  My lazy one I only want to have to get up max 30 minutes before my class starts and my beauty routine when I'm going out.

Lazy Days

I love this product.  It lasts for longer then any chapstick I've used and also adds a good amount of color.  It is not overpowering that looks like you are wearing too deep of a color for the day.

(Dove Dry Shampoo)

Dry shampoo is a good way to make unwashed hair look more clean and fresh.  A large problem with many dry shampoos is that sometimes that leave a white residue on the hair which makes it look grey.      I have had little problems with having white hair from using this product. 

(Twist Bun)

Thank god for ballerina or else who knows if this hair style would be popular.  My favorite part is having thin hair makes this so easy and sometimes you don't even need to have a hair tie.  

New Years Resolutions

Every year people make resolutions for the new year like start going to a gym or quit drinking.  By this time many people have already cheated on their resolutions which is why I'm making this post after New Years and not because I've been binge watching Friends sense it was put on Netflix New Years day.  This post is about New Years resolutions that are not so common and are important to follow.

Cut the Negativity
The easy access to social media has caused buzz in the media from negative comments about people. What does saying something negative about another person do to you?  If something is on social media it is for the whole world to see, be nice,

Leave The Country
Traveling is a great way to discover new things about the world and also yourself.  If you are low on money you can look into charity work because some programs will sponsor you.

Skip the Gym When You Need to
Taking a day break from the gym won't kill you, so don't make yourself feel bad about it.  Everyone needs a break but make sure not to skip the gym when you have plenty of time to go.  Working out should be a positive activity, have fun with it!

Make up
This does not mean show up at your ex house with chocolates and a bottle of wine.  Having bad blood with an ex is not healthy.  Moving on from a relationship is hard but taking the steps to leaving it on good terms will help you let go and move on to something that could possibly be great.

Frenemies
Rid yourself of the toxic relationships in your life.  Take the time to find out if their input into your life is positive and decide if you still want those people in your life

Say "Hi"
For some reason every girl seems to think that the guy has to make the first move.  You can't start a new relationship without an introduction.

Conquer A Fear
I was always afraid of those little black house spiders then I saw a giant spider that was about 50 times the size.  This year take on a fear.  Swim with sharks, write your number on the bill for your waiter.

Turn Off Your Phone
There is nothing more annoying when you are trying to talk to someone and they can't keep their eyes off their phone.  Especially when you are at dinner with someone.

Try A New Fashion Trend
Yes it could completely go down in flames and that trend could turn into a fad but you could also be the one to start the trend of the year.
